Thank you, Mark!
Unfortunately, a year's worth of somewhat old data, in an era where some productions might need to be postponed, won't work for me. I know it's outside this discussion's link, but might there be other data sources for these data?

Subject: Disability by race for age 5-17
Jon,
In data.census.gov (advanced filters), select 2021, ACS 5-Year Estimates, and then Selected Population Detailed Tables. From there, table B18101 includes the 5–17 age group, and you can use the race/ethnicity filters to get estimates for different population groups.
The catch is that 2021 is the latest release of these Selected Population Tables. They're produced every five years, so I think the next expected vintage would be 2022–2026 (assuming Census continues to produce these tables). Availability also depends on the sample size for a particular group and geography, so it may not solve the problem for every small population.
But this looks like a way to get the 5–17 estimates without having to use PUMS.
