Hello,

I am looking at Data Profile variable DP04_0134E on https://api.census.gov/data/2019/acs/acs5/profile/variables.html page. The description of the variable says "Estimate!!GROSS RENT!!Occupied units paying rent!!Median (dollars)" but it isn't clean to me if the rent is monthly or yearly or some other period. From the values, I can infer that it is probably monthly but can someone confirm? Also, it would be nice if the description is updated to make the periodicity of rent explicit.

Confirmed: median is calculated from monthly rents.

You are right: this is NOT clear and explicit in the table shells or in API documentation. The monthly period is mentioned, I think, just in one paragraph of the ACS Subject Definitions document (page 16).
