Hello everyone, glad to be here!

Does anyone know the data release date for the 2020 American Community Survey data for metropolitan statistical areas? Is it in March 2022 with the 5-year estimates? I saw that 1-year estimates were released in November 2021, but I could only find national- and state-level data. I would like to know when the metro area data will be available for 2020. Thank you for your help!

Not sure if this is the right answer, but just received a notification that the Census Bureau will release the 5-year estimates on March 17, down to the block group level, so I'm assuming that it will include metropolitan and city data.

Yes, at this point, it seems safe to assume the 2020 5-year data will include data for metro areas and all places. I haven't heard any notice yet to suggest this release would have less geographic detail than past 5-year releases.

I also haven't heard any plans to release any more 2020 1-year data than they have already provided, so I expect there will be no 2020 1-year data released for metro areas.
