    Does anyone know what PUMA definitions are used for the 2020 ACS 1-year PUMS data with experimental weights?

    Normally, 2020 ACS data should use 2020 geographies, but I don't see that the 2020 PUMAs have been released yet. Did the Bureau use the old (2012, I think) PUMAs for this release?

    Glenn,

    According to the footnotes on the Census Bureau's Geography Boundaries by Year page, the next update of PUMA boundaries will occur with their 2022 ACS data release.

    FWIW, they used the same timeline 10 years ago. The 2010 PUMAs were first used in 2012 ACS data... which I'd guess is why you think of them as the 2012 PUMAs! But the 2010 PUMAs were also used in 2010 decennial PUMS, a product for which I think the Bureau has no plans to produce this time around.
