Hello! I need population estimates for age categories (50+ and 55+) for a handful of specific American Indian pueblos and tribes as well as the Navajo Nation (in New Mexico only).
Please, could someone help? Thank you!
It's not impossible to get this from microdata there are dozens of tribes listed here at ipums.org https://usa.ipums.org/usa-action/variables/RACE#codes_section but if they're enrolled in the tribes, wouldn't the tribes have a more accurate and up to date count if they would help you? if not you could use the tribe codes, the age variable, person weights and state FIPS code to do this at ipums USA (ipums.org)
