Hello Everyone,

I a student researcher and is looking for data on political affiliation by zip code. Simply put, I am interested in knowing people in XXXXX zip code majorly votes for YY party.
Could you please guide me where can I find such data?

That's tough information to get, because voting data is handled by states, and there's no federal agency that collects that information. If you're interested in a specific area, I'd look into their local elections department. If you're looking for national data, you probably won't get exactly what you're looking for, but I have one suggestion: the New York Times' national election map that goes down to the ward level: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/upshot/2020-election-map.html. Miraculously, the make the data downloadable, so you could aggregate up to zip code with GIS software.

There are states where statewide voter registration is freely available and for those states it’s easy but voluminous (New York state as 12 million plus records) and they wouldn’t give you past versions for time comparison.
There are organizations that gather data from all states (including ones that restrict it to political parties) but it’s VERY expensive.
