Hi. I work for a state housing organization. As part of our work, we frequently select a group of census tracts and aggregate data from those tracts. I am wondering if there is any meaningful difference between using a base (B) file vs a summary (S) file vs using a data profile (DP) file? Could any inconsistencies appear in aggregating data from a grouping of tracts in the summary or data profile files? Or would the numbers work out the same?
