  • 1.  ZCTAs in 2006-2010?

    Does anyone know why ZCTAs were not available in the 2006-2010 ACS estimates? They are available in the 2010 Decennial data, and they were in the 2010 TIGER files, so I'm surprised they're not available in ACS. They do appear to be available starting in 2007-2011.

    Not sure why the ZCTAs were not available in 2006-2010 but we had lots of requests for them, so I made some quasi-zip code data based on a census tract to zip code crosswalk:

    www.psc.isr.umich.edu/.../index.html

    This isn't really necessary anymore since data are now available from the Census Bureau.
