Healthcare insurance coverage - Medicaid, Medical Assistance, Medicare ... CHIP?

    Dear everyone,

    When I look at the questions for health insurance coverage (question 16) it groups together Medicaid and shows Medicare separately. However, some people are duel eligible (Medicaid + Medicare).

    Wondering if,

    HC02_EST_VC06 Public Coverage; Estimate; COVERAGE ALONE - Public health insurance alone - Medicaid/means tested coverage alone

    Is only Medicaid folks? So no people over 65 who also have Medicare?

    Also, where would CHIP for kids fall into this? Not included because children aren't answering the survey?

    I'm focused on census tract level data, so that may be limiting my ACS table options.

    Can you clarify which table you are referring to?
    You asked your questions over a week ago, so you may have already found your answer.
