  • 1.  INDIVIDUALS' INCOME IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS

    Posted 09-18-2018 05:41 AM

    Hi,

I've a doubt regarding the individuals' income in the past 12 months distribution in table S0601.

The percentage distribution adds up 86.5%. My doubt, to which specific population outside the categories presented belongs the residual share (13.5%)?

The subject definition have: "Income of Individuals – Income for individuals is obtained by summing the eight types of income for each person 15 years old and over. The characteristics of individuals are based on the time of interview even though the amounts are for the past 12 months."

    Thanks for any help.

    Alberto

Hi Alberto - if you look at table B06010 and check the percents, you'll see that the missing population (13.4%) are those with no income. factfinder.census.gov/.../B06010

I find it odd that they don't include it in the table here, at least for clarity.
