I am looking for an estimate of the unemployed population but can only find a rate in the S2301 table. I need to aggregate the data at the county level and then use counts to calculate the percentage of the population that is unemployed by county. Does anyone know if a count is available in another table or if there is another way I can get this numerator?

I should have added that this is one of 5 variables I am using to calculate a composite measure and so can't simply use the county-level estimates provided.

Unless you have a particularly compelling reason to use ACS, the Bureau of Labor Statistics has far more timely and precise data on the exact breakdown of labor force composition. Scroll down to Annual Average > County Data.

Thanks Bryan! We would ideally like to use all ACS variables to simplify the process and need counts so that we can calculate the rate at different geographic levels.
