    What have you found to be the best way to describe to a non-data person the differences between US Census Bureau and the AFF?

    Do you mean ACS rather than AFF? AFF (I assume American Factfinder) is an on line Census Bureau tool for distributing data collected by various programs and is being replaced by data.census.gov.
