  • 1.  ACS Data Prior to 2010

    Hello everyone,

    I retrieved data previously from the American Fact Finder website at the state level for the years 2005 to 2015. I recently got a review for a paper I'm working on requesting some additional control variables. The data I originally got were relatively easy to find using the AFF website, but now I am struggling to find data from before 2010 using the new interface at data.census.gov.

    So I suppose I have two questions:

    1. Is there an easy way to get ACS data from before 2010 using the data.census.gov website? (I know it's possible to use the FTP but that seems quite a bit more complicated).

    2. If there is not a way currently, do we know if these data will be added to the newer website at some point?

    If the data you seek is not on census.data.gov, you could get it from here: https://mcdc.missouri.edu/applications/uexplore.html

    I'm sure NHGIS has it as well.
