    Hello,

I need to identify the number of households with incomes lower than 200% of the Federal Poverty Level in Block Groups. <y data source is the 5-year ACS.

I thought Table B05010 (RATIO OF INCOME TO POVERTY LEVEL IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS BY NATIVITY OF CHILDREN UNDER 18 YEARS IN FAMILIES AND SUBFAMILIES BY LIVING ARRANGEMENTS AND NATIVITY OF PARENTS) would work, but this table is not available at the block group.

I'd appreciate your suggestions about other tables I could use. If I have to use another data set, I'd appreciate hearing about that too.

    TIA

    Thanks Todd,

Table B17026 is a good suggestion, but it's not available at the block group either. I'll keep looking.

    Cheers--

Using NHGIS, I see one ACS table (C17002) that includes counts for 200% of the poverty level for block groups. It provides population counts, not household counts, so I'm not sure if that will work for you, but it appears to be the only option for identifying that income level by block group.

    Thanks Jonathan,

Table B17002 extracted from NHGIS contained data at the block group. Thanks for the source.
