@Denice Ross and Christopher Marcum-both former senior White House data officials-just released the Federal Data Field Guide, a free 50-page reference that maps the federal data ecosystem: eight data types, real-world examples, legal context, and a plain-language glossary with all the acronyms.
The legal and governance section alone (Title 13, CIPSEA, the Evidence Act, the Privacy Act) is one of the clearest summaries we've seen.
