APDU Data Integrity Award Nominations Are Open!
The APDU Data Integrity Award honors work that advances the responsible stewardship, dissemination, and use of public data. Eligible nominations should demonstrate meaningful alignment with one or more of APDU's six guiding principles, which call for public data to be:
-
Public and Accessible - expanding discovery and access to public data across all communities and use cases
-
Private and Confidential - applying rigorous, transparent disclosure avoidance and data governance practices
-
Ethical - upholding fairness, consent, and accountability from collection through dissemination
-
Transparent - openly documenting methodologies, limitations, and governance structures
-
Fit-for-Purpose - producing data that are timely, accurate, complete, and suitable for their intended use
-
Sustainable - supporting the long-term infrastructure, funding, and expertise that public data depend on
While alignment with the Guiding Principles is the foundation for eligibility, nominees will be distinguished by the originality and impact of their work-projects that push boundaries and inspire others in the field.
