Thank you, Lauren! This is really helpful.
And Beth, I second your hope that the administration and Congress heed the DF call.

So for from what I can tell, both the Survey of Inmates in Local Jails (which has a planned 2025 wave that included SOGI) and the National Health Interview Survey ask the first question.
The fortified wine question was in the 2002 version of the Survey of Inmates in Local Jails questionnaire but doesn't seem to be in the most recent one. Don't see it exactly like that anywhere else. https://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/PRAViewDocument?ref_nbr=202502-1121-002.
And the third question seems to be from a pilot study: RTI International. (2023). Ask U.S. Panel Pilot, Department of Defense Populations. Research and Methodology Directorate, Center for Behavioral Science Methods Research Report Series (Survey Methodology #2023-05). U.S. Census Bureau. https://www2.census.gov/library/working-papers/2023/adrm/cbsm/rsm2023-05.pdf

I'm sure most of you are aware of DOGE start to examine the many surveys Census does, especially for other agencies via interagency agreements: https://x.com/DOGE/status/1924888248008245742. I'm starting this thread in the hopes people will share what's being terminated, particularly if you there is any public information to point to.
Thanks!
