  • 1.  Effect of a shutdown on federal statistics

    If the Senate doesn't vote to extend government funding, a shutdown will start early Wednesday.

    Thanks Meghan! This is good news. The bad news is that data.census.gov isn't displaying any data right now--just blank pages (thank you @Steven Romalewski for alerting me to this.)

    I'm getting the same thing as Mark at data.census.gov -- a blank page with no response.  I checked the API and that seems to be working as of now 3:08 pm EDT.
