    The Independent Census Scientific Advisory Committee (I-CSAC) will hold its Spring 2026 virtual meeting on Thursday, March 26, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM ET. You can tune in via livestream at https://www.censusscientific.org/meetings/spring2026.

    Agenda highlights include:

    • Population Estimate Methodology Using New Data on Immigrants

    • Administrative Records Coverage by Race/Ethnicity

    • The Race/Ethnicity Coding Improvement Project 

    📣Public Comment Submission

    This meeting is also a chance for outside experts and stakeholders to weigh in on any census-related topic. Although Census Bureau staff will not participate in the meeting, all public comments will be transmitted to the Census Bureau alongside I-CSAC's recommendations. Submitting a comment ensures your perspective is included in the record and helps shape the quality and integrity of census data. 

    To submit a public comment

    Submissions received before noon ET on March 25 and not exceeding one minute will be read aloud. All comments will be posted on the I-CSAC website and submitted to the Census Bureau.
