And it seems like you all are my kind of "people" and I am grateful to be here.

Thank you to @Denice Ross for introducing to me PRB s public data forum when I was looking for someone "fluent" in BLS APIs.

I started a business back in 2018 when I "discovered" that I could quantify from the BLS standard fringe rate percentages with various subcategories like pension, sick, leave, insurance, etc.  My idea was to leverage public datasets for distillation and presentations with several use cases like price analysis that DCMA could validate via CPSR and cost realism with BLS direct labor rates and IRS/CENSUS "wrap rates."

I sold my services business to my employer, Strategic Growth Partners, yet retained 80% of a future business for price estimating and benchmarking, with the idea of obtaining better clarity on historical pricing and future forecasting levers. Now I've been getting into the BEA data sets to get better clarity into the microeconomic environment and the FRED for macroeconomic date to "improve our crystal ball" but honestly just trying to make much better guesses to improve decision making.

We have another big idea here in Wilmington, NC where we're creating blockchain technological backbone to create a "wall street like index" for 10,000+ main street USA location" with a growing network of organizations with the idea of improving community resilience and increasing ownership equity, workforce and housing development, infrastructure enhancements, shared productive spaces (kitchens, 3rd print labors, etc.), youth and family programs, health and social services, et cetera.

Anyhow, please free to reach out if anyone is interested in learning more, be a sounding board, or you want to collaborate as my focus has been shifted more into economic development and connecting with others in this space and leverage our public date to make more informed decisions and better "measure" the economic viability in each zip code (+ 4) if it makes sense to drill to that level.

Thank you and have a wonderful week ahead,

    Jon Barker
