The National Survey of Children's Health has been altered to remove variable ACE12, which asked if the child has been discriminated against due to their sexual orientation or gender.

Oh wow; I wonder how that will effect the comparability of indices of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

I do expect the revision would result in a break in series (unless people go back and rebuild prior years without the question).

I also worry about this being an unknown issue because (1) it has not been announced anywhere (other than here), and (2) the variable is still in the file, just converted to "missing," so any existing code will run with no errors.

Thanks for flagging, Beth! I hadn't heard or seen this one - and especially given Sect 1557 of the ACA being inclusive of SO and GI, this is really troubling.
