ACS data is critical for advocacy for human needs programs. You can use it to show policymakers how programs will benefit their constituents; understand how federal funding is allocated for many human needs programs; assess how different racial and ethnic groups are being served; and create a baseline to measure whether programs are adequate for need. And the ACS data is available in tables at data.census.gov, so you don’t need to be a statistician to find what you need!
