The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) is hosting an informational webinar following the publication of its Request for Information (RFI) titled, "Shaping the Future of the Bureau of Transportation Statistics." This RFI is designed to evaluate the Bureau’s product portfolio, identify critical data gaps, and modernize the user experience for all stakeholders. As the transportation landscape evolves with new technologies and supply chain shifts, BTS is committed to ensuring its resources remain relevant, accessible, and technically compatible with modern analytical workflows.
Purpose of the Session: To assist the public in responding to the RFI, BTS will provide a walkthrough of the questions included in the notice. The webinar will conclude with a dedicated period for procedural questions regarding the submission process and an overview of how these comments will be used to guide future BTS initiatives.
Who Should Attend: Participation is open to the public; however, registration is required and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The webinar is intended for a broad range of attendees, including data users, industry stakeholders, academic researchers, economists, data scientists, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning experts, and members of the public interested in helping BTS shape a more modern and responsive national transportation data landscape.
Accommodations: The U.S. Department of Transportation is committed to providing equal access to this meeting for all participants. If you need alternative formats or services because of a disability, such as sign language, interpretation, or other ancillary aids, please contact BTSOutreach@dot.gov
