  • 1.  ACS5 data was sort available today (but release pushed to late Jan)? API is down, anyone know what's up?

    Posted 2 days ago

Not sure what going on all day 2024 data was not there (was not expecting it). My scripts check for new data by default. 2024 was found at one point and now all my API scripts, the server reports and more are not working. When they pushed the data out til Jan, did someone forget something = not fun stuff happened.

Any help or clarification is appreciated.

OK it seems everything is down, including data.census.gov

OK things are better, but still not 100% when I test the API (just a single field) I still sometimes get "Sorry, the system is currently undergoing maintenance or is busy.  Please try again later."  So I'm not pulling any real data for a few days and hope things get better. I want the ACS5 data, but if they are having any issues with that data (and not the system) they should wait until its 100% and not rush to get it out next month. I am trying to build a data set for school lunch data with ACS5, SAIPE , and CCD data.
