    Hi All,

I'm not aware of a central resource for federal statistical agency advocacy materials and so thought I might share a couple in case it's helpful to you all and you have material to add.

For BJS, the Council of Criminal Justice just published this: https://counciloncj.org/the-value-of-ncvs-and-how-to-improve-it/. They also had a helpful report last year, https://www.counciloncj.org/crime-trends-working-group/final-report/executive-summary, that AFPI built on this spring: https://www.americafirstpolicy.com/issues/modernizing-national-crime-statistics. The BJS profile from the ASA/GMU 2024 report is here: https://bit.ly/NationsDataAtRiskBJS

In case it's helpful, these letters from ASA and Friends of OJP from recent past years may also be helpful:  4/11/22NIJ 6/10/22NIJ 3/22/23BJS 3/22/23BJS and NIJ, 3/8/24BJS and NIJ, 4/19/24.

Please share your resources in replies to this thread and, if you think this is constructive, start thread for resources on other topics and resources.

    Best,

    Steve
