Since Reginfo.gov went offline on Friday, August 15, and has now returned with a notice about undergoing revisions, dataindex.us has been monitoring the situation and what data is currently available.
Why does this matter? Information collection requests (ICRs) are typically published daily on RegInfo, providing details on federal agency requests to collect information from the public (such as forms and surveys), or to change questions on current data collections. The site allows the public to review these requests, and when applicable, submit comments to ensure agencies receive feedback before OMB makes approval decisions. When RegInfo is disrupted or missing data, the public loses timely access to this process, reducing opportunities for engagement and oversight.
