Many of you probably saw the news that some members of Congress are reviving their push to exclude noncitizens from the 2030 Census apportionment counts. Researchers at Harvard recently quantified the potential impact of including a citizenship question on the census form. They found that "asking about citizenship status significantly increases the percent of questions skipped and makes respondents less likely to report that members of their household are Hispanic."
