    Over the last year I've shared several apps here that help people explore public datasets: remote work trends, nativity trends, and immigration enforcement. Several people have mentioned that they appreciated how the apps make the data easier to understand and interact with. All of these were built in Python using the Streamlit library.
    On July 9th I'm teaching a live workshop with O'Reilly on how to build simple, interactive data apps like these using Streamlit. I thought it might be useful to people here who work with public data and need lightweight ways to make it more accessible.
    O'Reilly gave me a promo code for a 30-day free trial, so if you're not already a member, you can attend for free. To register:

    2. Then register for the workshop
    The workshop is also recorded, so if July 9th doesn't work for you, it's still worth registering - you'll get access to the recording.

    Quick reminder that my live workshop for O'Reilly, Building Data Apps with Streamlit and Copilot, is this Thursday, July 9th.
     
    O'Reilly's learning platform offers a free 10-day trial, which is plenty of time to register and attend this week. The session is also recorded, so if Thursday doesn't work, registering still gets you the recording.
