Hello Everyone,
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Administration Human Resource Development (EAHR) at Texas A&M University. I am a mixed methods researcher, and my scholarship centers on Workforce, Adult & Lifelong Education (WALE). I have worked with the Census Bureau and its Inter-agency Working Group since 2021 as they sought to revise Statistical Policy Directive 15 (SPD-15) on race and ethnicity categories. The SPD-15 work introduced me to the American Community Survey (ACS) data and an invitation to introduce new coding recommendations. I also attended the inaugural U. S. Census Bureau online Workshop - Advancing Research on Race, Ethnicity and Inequality: A Virtual Workshop Hosted by the U.S. Census Bureau, November 14-15, 2023. I look forward to contributing to this community.
